Nice, easy game. Think about enemy life bar. Work on inventory.

[Alien city *ALPHA]

Now you can walking through enemy. Try use hitTest to avoid this. Other things would by step by step, interface, next levels, upgrades.

Consider to moving with speed parameter, player would be draging on level smoothly and it could be one of difficulty level.

Check _x and _y position of crosshair. Bullets should goes to the center, now goes to the corner and it disturbed aiming.

Game based on true event is good idea. "Game over" is real game over. There's no reset or new game when you die.
